Suction Base Mechanism

Silicone Suction Plate Suction Base Mechanism

Every silicone suction plate we produce grips the table the moment you set it down. The base holds firm through pushing, pulling, and the everyday motion of mealtime, keeping the plate from tipping or flipping over while a baby is learning to self-feed.

That kind of reliability is what turns a first-time buyer into a repeat customer and earns the positive reviews that keep your product moving off the shelf, whether you are stocking a retail line or building out a private label.

Base Grip Performance

Silicone Suction Plate Base Grip Performance

The suction base is designed to hold on the surfaces families actually use at mealtime, from smooth dining tables to the trays built into most high chairs. Whatever the setting, the plate is meant to stay put through the reaching, patting, and pushing that come with self-feeding.

This kind of consistency matters when your customers are outfitting different environments, from a home kitchen table to a daycare or restaurant setting. A silicone suction plate that performs the same way across surfaces gives you one product to offer instead of separate solutions for separate settings.

Body & Rim Design

Silicone Suction Plate Body and Rim Design

Custom-Molded Rim for Insert Plates

On plates that pair silicone with stainless steel or ceramic, the rim is custom-molded to match the insert's exact shape, keeping the edge closed tightly around it through washing and daily handling over time.

One-Piece Construction on Silicone-Only Plates

One-Piece Construction on Silicone-Only Plates

On the single-material silicone suction plate, the entire body is molded as one piece, with no insert to seat and no seam for a rim design to secure or maintain over time.

Capacity Built Around Appetite

Capacity Built Around Appetite, Not a Fixed Stage

Not every child eats the same amount, so these plates come in different capacities, from 120mL to 420mL, letting you match the plate to actual appetite rather than a single size for everyone.

Material & Compliance

Silicone Suction Plate Material and Compliance

SUS304 TEST

Material

Food-grade silicone, free of BPA, BPS, PVC, and phthalates. Stainless steel or ceramic inserts are 304-grade or food-safe ceramic, built to match the silicone body in daily washing and handling.

baby Feeding set certificate

Compliance

Backed by LFGB, FDA, and EN14372 compliance across our silicone tableware line, so you can source across our plates without requalifying each one against a different standard.

Heat & Cleaning Performance

Silicone Suction Plate Heat and Cleaning Performance

Freezer Storage down to -40°C

Silicone holds its shape and seal without cracking after repeated freezing, so you can batch-prep and store baby food directly in the plate, across every version of the suction plate.

Dishwasher Heat Cycles

Dishwasher Heat Cycles

The silicone body withstands repeated dishwasher heat cycles without warping, cutting down on hand-washing time between meals across every version of the suction plate.

Microwave Reheating up to 230°C

Microwave Reheating up to 230°C

The single-material silicone suction plate can go straight into the microwave. We do not recommend microwaving the stainless steel or ceramic insert versions.

Hot Food Straight From the Pot

Hot Food Straight From the Pot

Silicone withstands direct contact with hot, freshly cooked food up to 230°C without deforming, so you can plate and serve without waiting for it to cool.

FAQs

Is the stainless steel or ceramic insert removable from the silicone body for cleaning?

Yes. The insert sits in a custom-molded rim built as a snap-fit design, so it can be removed from the silicone body for separate cleaning or replacement rather than being permanently fused in place. This also means the insert and the silicone body can be washed according to whichever method suits that specific material, instead of treating the whole plate as a single washing category regardless of what it's made from.

Does the suction base work on surfaces other than a hard flat table, such as a placemat or textured tray?

The suction base is built to grip smooth, flat, hard surfaces such as dining tables and high chair trays. A soft placemat, a textured tray, or an uneven surface can reduce how well the seal holds, since there is no firm flat contact for the base to press against. We recommend testing on your target surface type during sample approval if your customers commonly use trays or placemats at mealtime.

Is the ceramic insert plate protected against chipping or cracking during daily use?

The ceramic insert sits inside a silicone rim that wraps its edge closely, which reduces direct impact on the ceramic if the plate is bumped or dropped compared to an unprotected ceramic plate. That said, the ceramic center itself remains a rigid material, so it does not have the same flexibility or impact resistance as the single-material silicone plate, and normal care around drops is still recommended.

Can you develop a plate shape or size outside these three versions?

Yes. New molds can be developed around your own specifications as part of a private label project, whether that means a different overall size, a different compartment layout, or a shape suited to a specific market preference. This kind of development starts with your design brief or reference sample, moves through a mold proposal, and follows the same material and compliance standards as our existing plate line once production begins.

Are the three compartments on the divided plate a fixed size, or can portions be adjusted?

The compartment sizes are fixed by the mold at 106mL, 50mL, and 50mL, set to reflect a typical plate composition of one larger portion alongside two smaller sides. This ratio is not adjustable within the current mold, though a different compartment layout can be developed as a custom mold project if your target portion sizes differ from this standard configuration.

What kind of support do you provide for a brand that's completely new to this category?

We work with new brand teams from the earliest stage, helping you decide which plate to start with, what a reasonable first order looks like, and which certifications matter for your target market. Rather than leaving you to figure out sourcing decisions on your own, our team walks through product selection, customization options, and compliance requirements together with you, so your first order is built on an informed plan.
